We
would like to welcome Dr Esther Hill to Appletree Medical Practice.
Dr Hill will join the practice as an additional General Practitioner
on Wednesday 1st July 2009.
Born
in Lockington, Derbyshire in 1979, where her family are still
based, Esther moved to London to study at St Georges' Hospital
Medical School and graduated in 2003. She then completed her GP
Vocational Training Scheme in the Oxford Deanery, where she worked
in a variety of practices in and around Oxford and even in an
army barracks.
Dr
Hill's particular interests are in Women's Health and Medical
Education. Over the last 6 months she has become involved in training
and has acted as an Assistant Course Organiser to the Banbury
VTS programme. She has also been involved in mentoring Practice
Nurses and Doctors in training. Dr Hill is currently completing
a certificate in Medical Education at Warwick University .
Dr
Hill enjoys entertaining, travelling, catching up with good friends
and the Theatre and Arts. She spent her elective in a variety
of hospitals in the Caribbean , and took the chance to travel
extensively. Whilst out there she completed the PADI scuba diving
course and enjoyed being a deck hand on board ship.
