From the 6 January 2003, as part of the nationally approved NHS initiative, we are removing waiting times to see a doctor. This will give patients an improved access. What does this mean?We will offer patients an appointment for the same day the surgery is contacted. In most cases, this will be the doctor of your choice. Pre-booked appointments will be limited to those where a doctor wishes to see a patient on a specific date. Nurse appointments and clinics will remain unchanged. Saturday surgery will remain for emergency appointments only. We will also introduce consultations over the telephone for simple problems such as reviewing test results or new medications. What do i do?To make an appointment: To be seen on the same day, phone between 8.15 am and 12 mid-day. For home visits, please phone before 11.00am. All other queries or problems (such as repeat prescriptions and test results), please phone AFTER 11.00am Any difficultyIn case of any difficulty, please contact Jayne Cooper, Practice Manager, so that we can address it as soon as possible. Thank you for your co-operation in making this a success. |
